I don't listen to your radio program, but I get enough in the way of links from Facebook friends and news feeds to know I really don't want to listen. I'm writing this as a Christian woman, now having to raise two teens on my own in a country gone way wrong. But I'm pretty sure what you feel is the greatest wrong is far from what I do. Mr. Beck, you are an extremely unkind man. That's an inarguable fact. You have to know as well as anyone else, if not more, how powerful the spoken word is, but you regularly abuse that power in a way that you will ultimately have to answer to God for. As someone with a national audience, you have even greater accountability than the average American. I often wonder if you ever take time to consider what your life review would be like if you found yourself before your Maker at this given hour. The words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart...are they of God, or of the world and the ego of Glenn Beck? I can speak only for myself, but with the knowledge that I would not be alone in saying that just reading accounts of your utterances has wounded my heart and spirit on many occasions. I have, literally, experienced many hours on many days distressed by the bad fruits your life is producing. Many a day I've had to spend in prayer, just to rid my mind of your venomous words. Mr. Beck, please be more circumspect, even if you don't have it within you to be a kind and loving human being. PLEASE, either be more led by the spirit of the Lord, or pointedly advise your audience that you are NOT speaking as a Christian. If you can prayerfully read the following scriptures, and then honestly affirm that you are in line with them, this letter can be completely disregarded:
Proverbs 6
16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in the community

Dealing With False Teachers
14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 16 Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. 17 Their teaching will spread like gangrene.

Submission to Governing Authorities

Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. Taming the Tongue

Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. Two Kinds of Wisdom
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
